Other Achievements.

  • Competent Authority for FRCS from 2020 to 2021 with overseas tax jurisdictions Fiji has Double Tax Agreements with like Australia, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Singapore, Papua New Guinea, South Korea etc.
  • Chairman of the FRCS Disciplinary Committee in 2021 that makes recommendations to FRCS CEO/FRCS Board on the disciplinary actions to be instituted against staffs on alleged unethical acts after investigation.
  • Member of the team that provided input in the drafting of the Tax Administration Act 2009.
  • Member of the team that was directly involved in the drafting of the Capital Gains Tax Decree 2011.
  •  Member of the team that was directly involved in the drafting of the Income Tax Act 2015.
  • Member of the team that was directly involved in the drafting of the draft VAT Bill now in discussion.
  • Member of the team that was directly involved in the designing of the Audit module now live in NTIS that is the new IT system used by FRCS.
  • Involved in the vetting on some of the FRCS Standard Interpretation Guidelines (SIG) now in the FRCS website.
  • In Year 2000 I was a member of the project team that was setup to pilot integrated audit in FRCS. Integrated audit was then introduced by FRCS after the success of the project team. 
  • Co-facilitating PITAA/PFTAC Regional Workshop on Auditing Financial Statements- 31st July 2017 to 4thAugust 2017.
  • Facilitator PITAA/PFTAC Tax Audit Managers Regional Workshop – 11th November 2019 to 14th November 2019.
